New Year's Eve

So here we come at the end of 2010? how are you all feeling? One day back then I swore I wouldn't spend a new year's eve in land of oz again, now i am here stranded among all people with hot weather and high UV index. It was so cold and raining last new year's eve, and now? no one knows, it could be changing at night, unpredictable weather is it.

While admiring some people vacation photos on facebook, I keep reminding my self, alright my turn will come soon, so get energised will ya?!

Second hand stuff

Do you ever buy second hand clothes? I do, a lot, not real clothes but more on blazers, cardigans, or jackets. Well it's like finding a treasure, you get good stuff and you are a happy camper. seriously, I went shopping second hand stuff yesterday, with mum.. as expected, my mum banned my idea of having second hand stuff, but I insisted! she's afraid that there might be some diseases transfering via the stuff, well i found it reasonable but didnt really stop me buying the stuff, I was already in love, it was a cardigan, an old cardigan, like new actually... I was supa glad. LOL

The Tourist

What's not to love about Angelina Jolie? or Johnny Depp? The Tourist brings you an idea how life can be coincidently exciting when you meet someone different from other part of the world without knowing that all of that has been planned? Extravaganza performance from both A-class actors, definitely worth to watch, even though the film didn't make it to the top of box office, quite a cliche. I love how the director gives a glamorous touch with a lil bit of humour inside the movie..

I want a BEANIE. yes beanie hat, I've been looking for this for these past days, and get it for the right price is almost impossible. LOL they range around $40, which is quite expensive for a beanie, come on, where can I get one with half price tag on it? anyone knows?

Boxing Day

Let me tell you my tradition on boxing day: Buying "so-called expensive" underwear! LOL yep that was my goal this season and you know what? I did it! with rain pouring outside and crowded mass people inside, I managed to get the undies I want, top-notch linen from ARMANI, how delicious is that? I am happy with joy!

Not just that, Im gonna get more stuff today as in I wasn't satisfied enough yesterday. when the shopping mood comes out, I am all mentally blinded by hot stuff... :)

As some of you may know, Paris is now dating Cy Waits. Since I don't really care what this barbie doing anymore, I put my ignorance for all news about her but again, curiosity struck me. I found out more about her hubby, and i tell you, i was unexpectedly blown away by the facts that Cy is a nightclub mogul, he managed some of the hottest spots in Vegas, yeh he's not an average type of millionaire.. surprisingly, Paris' parents have known him for a long time and give him their blessings. wow anyways, from all the writings above, I come to a conclusion that he's a dangerous man but sometimes a dangerous man can be a knight riding white horse for some.

Two of my friends went back home for good. One girl, one boy. Well the boy is my high-school mate, no drama. so no need to tell more about him here., LOL the girl i met through a friend, rarely spoke to but we're all getting close since her graduation.. I believe she's been enjoying her time in Melbourne, digesting every culture, and of course having good eats, I can tell from her stories. lol

It's always hard to see friends go, she was about to cry, but what I can't believe is her friend wasn't even crying, whom I believe is so close to her? stupid her.. I couldn't see some sort of drama-series of crying...

Summer, where are you?

Ok this month is supposed to be a summer holiday for me, I've told my parents, who come here, they came unprepared. I am to blame.. Well, why is this happening? the world ends soon? The weather really sucks, till my body drops like it always does. LOL yeh I got flu symptoms with cough, and I need paracetamol.. Europe has been hit with snow, Australia with the flood, Indonesia with the heavy rain, and U.S is still hit by the economic down turn.. well the sign is on, God please have a mercy on all human kind.

OK, You won't be seeing Larry King Live anymore since he has resigned after 25 years doing it on CNN's primetime channel. Well, i watched his show a long time ago, never watch it since then. I know nothing about Larry after I bumped into news saying that Larry is no other than 76-years old man with 7 marriages or was it 8? can't remember... anyways, I am proud of him that by making a long-run with CNN, the big name on the business, without any flecks or bad rumours in his career, sayonara Larry.. enjoy your retirement!

Leaving on a jet plane

People start leaving on a jet plane, some of them are my friends, some leave for good, some leave for holiday.. Today, my girl left Melbourne in the morning, I sent her to the airport, I thought it was gonna be easy since I used to have a long distance relationship with her.. Well, guess what, I already miss her presence, her brags are also well missed. LOL Before leaving, she said "you're gonna lose one bragger soon (yeh my parents are in town, i don't say they are but they could be one of them.. lol)... yeh I lost one bragger, but my phone is far away from ringing (it used to be ringing every 5 mins, can you imagine that? lol), and oh my credit hits $160, from $35 cap plan, WTF?? this damn iphone is credit-sucker. anyways, back to the topic, I'll be with her in 3 weeks, not exactly, 18 days to sound better and i'll be in the good company again... :)

Getaway

I went to city of paradise in Queensland, yes Gold Coast it is. Quite an unplanned getaway if I may say, everything went quick and dirty, from ticketing to rushing to get there. lol All i can say is it's an amazing holiday for me, first timer here of course, I had a lot of fun with the theme park, well this comes from acrophobia lover's point of view, FYI.LOL one thing i couldn't handle was Superman Escape, i wouldn't want pump my heart just to play that thing, like seriously.

anyways, it's a great holiday, i am looking forward to get back there with lots of friends!

Normal Parade

My graduation is just around the corner, as well as the Christmas party! I am not too excited about the graduation, don't know why but I am feeling that's unnecessary to do so. Kinda sad leaving the university, though. My family came here today, just landed actually, I've been accompanying them to walk around and get the best experience in here, well pretty tiring for me, plus I have so many things queuing up on my schedule, geez!

Let's get this graduation over and gimme the best Christmas ever, please God! pretty please!

I came across the new Hublot ad yesterday, FYI, Hublot is a watch brand. Every person has a different perspective about this ad, some might say it's offensive, some might don't. Having said that, I want you guys to know the idea behind this ad, apparently, this ad is created based on Bernie Ecclestone's story (F1 boss) who was robbed and lost all his belongings (including his Hublot watch) and he asked Mr. Biver (Hublot CEO) to make an ad just for fun.

I, personally, think it's an awesome buzz in watchmaking industry. and to be honest, I didn't get it at the first place, neither, but after knowing the whole story, then I am sold!

WABI SABI Restaurant

I just went to Wabi Sabi restaurant at St Kilda a few minutes ago, well I ordered Grilled blue eye something something (I can't remember the whole name), it's a fish, with pickle and tomato as garnishes, First bite, it's a good one. $33 including rice. Then, my other friends ordered the weekday dinner set, which was a chicken teriyaki, impression? like a cheap eats at china town, no offense, it's a honest opinion, and they charged the chicken for 30 dollar, which I wouldn't pay it for ever. My fish is acceptable but the chicken? no way.

It came to my surprise that they won the best restaurant award in Melbourne in 2010, so my question is which food did the judges taste?

Rating: 2.75/5 (Will be going there again, most probably, in 2 years time).

Okay, people might say, oh Rolex, just a watch for old guys, rich dudes or show-off lads... I partly disagree with all these statements, why? if you go back from the roots of Rolex, you can find so much history behind this great brand, and yet the Rolex's founder did really amazing job in term of innovation, the mighty in-house movement is one of the seen proof. It's true some people buy Rolex to show off, but some always appreciate what Rolex is all about.. anyways, I found this watch being auctioned on ebay, a beautiful watch indeed, wish I could get my hands on it someday... current bid: $63,100

PS. I don't own any Rolex, I am a fan, mainly on vintage pieces.

Christmas Celebration

I know it's early for Christmas celebration but we (me & friends) had it yesterday, so we exchanged presents and had games to spice up the celebration, a truly amazing night for sure. But, one thing came to my nerve, no one wanted my present, damn, i bought a cute lil robot, which you can save your coins in, but seems like no one wanted that, well sad indeed, i know they are gonna regret it someday! LOL after present exchange, we were walking around in the city wearing santa's hat and people were like, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!, we got home around 2.30 am, some of friends ate pizza while I was sleeping on the couch, couldn't barely move my body, it was damn tiring...

I just wanted to give a shout out to all my friends, good job, we should've made it again pretty soon...LOL

I already watched the trailer, was hooked up with it and ready to redeem my tickets for this A-class movie.. Here were Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman attending Black Swan premiere last night... good thing is the buzz says the movie will be an oscar-worthy nomination... What's not to love?

Tiring day

I must have admitted that today is a tiring day, why? because I was looking for a perfect swimming goggles, yes my new apartment has a fully functioned swimming pool that I can jump into! how amazing is that? lol I never bought swimming goggles my self, my mum always bought one for me, well a lil spoiled brat, i know i know... finally i found one with cheap price tag on it, delighted for sure, I am all set and let me enjoy it next week! lol

The Last Exocism ***Spoiler Alert**

I had been wanting to watch this movie, and got my eye since the trailer came out, I pay a visit to the cinema yesterday and I was quite surprised that the whole movie is shot with a cam.. but the flow was good for a budget movie, I found that the budget was 1.8 mil and the movie made a profit even before the shooting began, just wow. The story is all about exorcism, nothing's special but the cam shooting and the flow made the movie even better (I usually don't like cam-shot movie)

I watched the whole first season ever for MasterChef USA the other day, I was surprised that David could make it to the final round because he was never nominated for elimination and on the other hand, Whitney was nominated for elimination TWICE or more? well cant remember exactly, and yet she made NOT-SO-GOOD DISH at the final round and guess what? she won? The Town

I believe I made the decision to give this movie a go based on GOOD word of mouth from some friends. They said that the movie is awesome etc etc. Starring so-called hottest start, Blake Lively from Gossip Girl, people come to see her but apparently her role is too small (as a prostitute), she only appears a couple of times in the movie. One thing Ive learnt at the end of the movie, Ben Affleck directs it, no wonder. Since his stardom is falling and yet I was surprise someone would choose him as a leading role but well he's directing himself, you know what it means..

I was watching a TV program last night, an Indonesian TV program. It's called Indonesia Mencari Bakat (IMB), it's like X-Factor kind of thing. well I initially thought it's gonna be a rubbish since I've never been a fan of it. Guess I need to swallow my words back, it was awesome, surprisingly, there were so many talented people performing, a bless for me watching such a program. There were 3 blind guys performing a song, beautifully sung, the best part was They was PLAYING the instruments as well! geez, I bet that was the best feeling I've got this week!

I am still struggling to get a perfect house for rent these days, been inspecting some properties but didn't meet my like, funny thing is when I inspected a house last week, it was priced at $285 per week, there were 3 people inspected including me, but a week after they increased the price to $294... come on, you've got to be kidding me.. A total rip-off, it's a nice property though... Well if I don't get a house by the end of next week, my final attempt will be INCREASE my budget range! LOL

Sak is the designer name. He is Japanese, but he went to London for work and now operates in Italy, if i am not mistaken. I read through all this stuff yesterday when I was waiting for house inspection. Cool stuff, basically he hand-mades all the shoes using old technique, vintaged if I may say. Guess what for retail? around 500 euro per pair.

House Hunting

I begin to house hunting this week, since I got one more month left on my lease contract, very sad, but I have to find a better place. lol I went to see two apartments today, one is too small, one is good but there is no socket for Internet connection, it could be a huge problem for me. I am going to see more on the weekend and next week but seems like there is just a few apartments with air con... summer is coming up, HATE it.

I went to the cinema on last Saturday, we caught the last movie which was at 9.30pm.. I spotted many young college peeps around the cinema when I was queuing for the tix. Well the actors are all genius and I've got to recommend this to you, good story foundation, good acting, and good for the bucks! Even Justin Timberlake's acting was so good in there, certainly not an amateur.

Denim Lover

You might say I am a denim lover since I always wear jeans wherever I go. The other day, I got a call from my friend saying that there was massive sale for one branded jeans out of CBD area and I decided to go to have a look. I honestly didn't have an intention to buy at the first place, but when I got there, with $100 price tag on it, I was tempted! yeh these jeans are selling roughly above $200 retail, so it was surely a massive reduction... So my question is how much is the normal price for jeans?

I am asking this, simply because there are so many friends wasting money on premium jeans just to show off and look good, I don't blame their efforts but, come on, $300 for jeans? that day is over!
So lets say, 150 max?

A lil note

I've been away for 8 months from home, yes 8 months and I won't be likely home in the next a couple of months, all blame goes to a long list of admin stuff that needs to be done in here. Sigh. Homesick, you can say, I used to go back home in every six months, I miss the traveling part and I miss shopping on transit at the airport. lol

My biggest fear is I have to face the summer season, and it's gonna kill me slowly to dehydration. I faced summer season last year and I swore I wouldn't be facing it again, but truth is cruel, what can I say...

at least some of my friends are here, or physically here and won't make any difference? it's another story in my book. well show must go on...

I would like to give my thoughts on this. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THIS HERMES? I was really shocked hearing this news. nonetheless Hermes' brand image starts fading, at least to me.

I am thankful that I've witnessed this moment where all the miners are rescued, it's such a momentum for the country to be a stronger one. 33 miners were rescued yesterday, some of them were at the good health but some of them suffer from minor problems, such as skin, and dental problems, but all was ok.

Looks like Nokia has taken a next step to beat Apple huh? i heard that this is a new phone that's specially designed to end the Apple's reign on the business. Well i personally don't like touch screen but even i do, i would have gone to Apple for sure. :)

I went to Nobu on the other day since I had always been craving to taste one, some of my friends gave neutral reviews because it doesn't taste like premium dining that should be, so i decided to go with my head held high to prove it! I ordered five courses to be shared and some of the appetisers and mains. When the first appetiser went out, I didn't get the joy, simply thought my friends were right, but when the second one was coming, I knew that was it! then the rest is just history...

Recommended. Like any other great eating places I have recommended before..

A lil chat with Professional Photographer

I was having a lil chat with a professional photographer on the other day, i was showing my self-portrait, yes i used my TV and some books to stack up and put the camera on them so it could capture the angle i wanted and he said that he can really feel the photo and capture my feeling as a person. He even said that i am a lonely guy and was asking me whether I am living alone or not?

Well of course i denied, I am a happy man with full of mysteries if you don't mind me saying, lol.

FYI, i took the shots before I went to work and yes it was a bit rushing. :)

Hosier La

Funny i didn't even remember to post something today until this very late PM here at my place,well I went to Hosier Lane today for photoshoot, yes this is one of the assignments for my photography course, i thought it would be hard since my mates just love to playing around and not so serious with the shoot but guess what, I was wrong! it turned out to be most exciting photo shoot ever for the whole semester! we even played with decorating blood with tomato sauce... unbelievable...

ps. Hosier Lane is a tourist spot in here, a place with full of graffiti...

Wall Street Premiere

Michael Douglas looks good while he is suffering from cancer. I watched the first Wall Street movie probably 2 months ago, sure the storyline is very difficult to digest but it's totally worth to watch. I absolutely am looking forward to this movie, indeed the money never sleeps so as Gordon Gekko.

Ps. I love this cute couple. no negative feeling towards them, pure class.

Yes, finally the wait is over! I've been waiting for this show since last season and I miss Stinson's actions packed on it. can't really wait to watch it tonight. It's gonna be LE----wait for it-----GENDARY!!! Check em out bro!

Well, she was there to introduce his fashion line and I find it interesting, especially the bag she designs, a very lovely bag. Her designs are more like contemporary styles with bits of elegant tints. must check them out.

They have 4 types of watches, this one is made with Titanium, which i prefer to stainless steel.
