There's Always A Goodbye

A goodbye. I've been in many goodbye moments all my life, from going away from friends, farewell, departures, losing jobs, or even breakups. This time hit me the hardest, that's right, my gal went back for good today, on beautiful Sunday. I can't help but swallow all the reality, well I know this is not a final goodbye, we are still together and will meet again but my time in Kangaroo land becomes harder, even phone call and chat options are there but physical support will be missed. She is pursuing her career back home and I am still here, long distance nightmare haunts us once more, we did it for 3 years back then, and you think it's gonna be easy for us? Hmm, tough one but I am sure we can overcome it. Overseeing my coming weekends is the worst part, no more dining out at fancy restaurant, no more cuddling in cinema, no more hardcore shopping, this and that, thanks to the internet for online shopping experience and to bit torrent  to fill my days (hopefully), at least they are helping me go through this at my loneliest times. :)

Goodbye, love. Don't worry this is just a temporary barrier. See you soon and all the best!

Mr Hive Kitchen & Bar

Photobucket

A joy late dinner Saturday night took place last weekend, the destination was Mr Hive Kitchen & Bar at Crown Casino. Didn't expect well with this one since heard mixed reviews from friends, well, I second whoever says it's hideous. The interior was okay but, seriously the food was hideous, not sure what their core essence is but here is my story... Went there with my girl, I ordered lamb and pork belly, they cooked it like Chinese food (literally presented them in a bowl) and the taste? it was tasteless, no seasoning, no taste, plain like white coloured paint.. and I paid $32 for that. Even Chinese restaurant at china town can cook better than that. Yikes.

You know the conclusion. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Oh I forgot one thing, the napkin they use is a very cheap-ish awful one. I mean... if you do a fine dining, at least give guests great napkins.

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Photobucket

Last installment of the Twilight Saga, Edward & Bella's romantic journey is coming to an end. Booked a ticket to watch this movie last weekend, was excited like a child at a candy store. Brought my high expectation with me, and I must say Bill Condon just DID it freaking nicely. The story, the war, the ending are just freaking perfect! did I say it was freaking perfect? I couldn't be more happier a lot with this movie, best of the best Twilight movies to date! Twi-hard, I guarantee you will be proud of this movie. I do.

MJ Saga Is Still Going

Everyone is thinking MJ was broke, forced to do a final concert that led to his death. Well, this is the story that would shake your head. As you may know, he put all of his wealth to his children until they're grown up, while in the mean time Mrs. Jackson is in charge as the guardian. The story doesn't just stop there, this shit is still in the go, all the rest Jackson family is hunting those monies and this what DialyMail reported. A very sad story, one might say a horror story, different type of horror. If you are interested, please read the rest of the story after the jump.

Wisdom Might Come From Everywhere

Photobucket

Hope is the one that takes us to the eternity, don't give up, like this turtle did. Often underestimated due to small size and slow speed, even mighty anaconda couldn't crush him up! The tough shell helped him to escape in the end, joy to the world and everyone, except.. maybe... the hungry snake.

Killing Them Softly

Photobucket

Brad Pitt is coming back to the screen, but this time, it didn't go to the top box office. Instead of making a big hit box office movie, he's made something special, a unique film like he did with The Assassination of Jesse James, and yes it was the same director from Australia. I expected more violence and fight but the director focuses more into the dialogue and the art directing its self.

This film might not be everyone's favourite but sure it took the spotlight in critics' world. Brad Pitt has been eyeing for an oscar, and he will keep trying to get one. Of course, he deserves one but when will it come? only God knows.

Taken 2

Photobucket

If you ask who's DA MAN of 2012? Liam Neeson gets my vote. This guy runs 2012 like no other box office actors do. The Grey, Wrath of The Titans, Battleship, The Dark Knight Rises and last but not least, Taken 2. Holy Cow! I can't imagine how proud his children are.

Taken 2, a sequel from a well-received movie Taken from 2008.I am so in love with his performance in Taken (2008), anxiously awaited for the sequel, I bet that would be as entertaining as it was but if your expectation is high, and the outcome is not what you think it would be, you get disappointed. Yes, it is quite good but just not up to par. Action is good, Liam Neeson is good, Maggie Grace is graceful but the plot is so-so.

My Rating: 6/10.

Liar, Liar, Liar

Photobucket

Keith Urban is obviously a pretentious bastard. I mean really! This man quit The Voice Australia and issued a statement saying "I've been so fortunate to have been a part of The Voice and as much as I'd love to do it again, it's clear that the recording and promoting of a new album, a tour and other commitments, will keep me from being a part of the second season.". Soon after he then joined American Idol. Really, Keith? what kind of recording and promoting of a new album you are talking about in this? An album called Iamleavingthevoiceformoremoney ? A total disgrace. If you wanted to scrap more money or fame by joining American Idol, you could just say so, don't put lame excuses to quit your post on Voice. Anyways, good luck on "promoting" your new album. Ciao.

Quick Reader on Graveyard

Photobucket

Photobucket

Quick reader on your graveyard, isn't it amazing? It's able to tell you all the short information about the deceased person, some sort of biography, you can scan it with your devices and it links you up to the company website which contains all the deceased one's info. Absolutely brilliant idea, so you won't get mixed up with others while finding the right one.

Expendables 2

Photobucket

Who doesn't like action movie starred by a number of A-listed action actors? Seriously. This movie is dope. How rare you see Chuck Norris making appearances on Hollywood movies? or how excited you are, seeing Van Damme comes back from the hiatus?

People say the plot is standard. Of course, it's not about the plot or the story, this movie is about all-stars baby! The action is Stallone's typical, if you are big fan of Rambo, this is definitely for you.

Pitbull Concert

Photobucket

Okay, there were three of us going to this Pitbull concert with Taio Cruz, Havana Brown and Timomatic as special guests. Absolutely didn't expect anything except good music from Pitbull. The guests? Taio Cruz's Dynamite might do it, Havana Brown? didn't really like it. Timomatic? Set it off was great but really was thinking Rihanna's concert will pass it by miles.

 Photobucket

Got in. Our seats were at the very top with blocked view to the stage. Well.. well... might have been the worst nightmare but hey! we were wandering around seats to seats, got kicked away by actual seaters, and finally we managed to snatch ones in. Good thing is the ticket holders didn't come! Wow. Enough for the intro, Timomatic opened the concert, quite good performance by Australian singer, then DJ Havana Brown came in, gorgeous looking lady! damn me, she's a true beauty, her skin is just flawless and her dress? my heart just melted, and the DJ skill? oh man how can I bug you not to watch. Purrfecct. Probably the highlight of last night besides Mr. Worldwide.

Photobucket

Taio Cruz continued the night, a very nice guy. Respect. I just got to know that he's the one who wrote "Without You" for Guetta and Usher. Amazing. And Mr. Worldwide conquered the stage, and it's game over. Amazing concert, amazing people, amazing audience. Worth it all the way. One thing I learn from this experience: When you expect less, it usually turns out awesome.

The Bourne Legacy

Photobucket

Jason Bourne has come back to United States. But, this time, he rather hiding instead of hunting for Pam Landy. Well, if you are a fan of Bourne, this movie will take you to where it was back in 2002. Jeremy Renner did quite a good job here, his acting is unquestionable, the action? you bet!

The story was similar to the first one. Might want to re-think to get the Platinum seat for this.

Coca Cola, Google, BBC logos, How Much It Costs?

For those who ever wonder how much one iconic logo costs, this is your chance to know it all. Well, some of you might be surprised since some of the logos cost not even a penny. Let's start by American favourite drink, Coca Cola.

Photobucket

Actually $0. Yes, big fat zero.

The reason is the logo was create by its founder's partner and bookkeeper.

The King of All Online Media, Google. Another $0.

Why? The co-founder designed it.

Photobucket

If some company did not pay a penny to create the logo, there is at least one company that's crazy enough to spend a big chunk of money to spend on a logo. Who would that be?

Photobucket

How much did they spend for this? $1.8 Million. Was it worth it all the money? Be the judge.

I was skeptical when I saw USA Men's Basketball team played Argentina on second quarter of the semi final. They proved me wrong, they booked a place on the final. I thought "okay, but don't I jinx it, let's win it all the way!". Of course, you are guys are familiar with the story of Brazilian football team, they were a steeping GIANT until the Final. And the result? Silver medal it is.

Thank God, the USA won the Gold medal, beating Spain 107-100.

Number 8 Restaurant

Photobucket

I booked a table for two at this restaurant last weekend. A friend of mine used to work on this restaurant but funnily enough, she didn't vouch it for amazing dinner. However, curiosity doesn't just stop me there. Went in with low-expectation, since no steak-based restaurant could impress me for the past year. My girlfriend ordered fish of the day, I went with Grilled Tasmanian Wallaby with Victorian Truffle (yes, you read it right. Victorian Truffle, and it will cost you around $30), and a plate of calamari for sharing. 30 minutes later, this beautiful calamari arrived, the texture was just simply amazing, it just melted right into your tongue, bravo for the starter. Now, with the main, came with stunning presentation, I sliced the wallaby with the puree on it, tasted it, WOW, couldn't be better. Overall, all the starter and mains that we ordered didn't disappoint. Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner, a place worth to visit.

PS. the Victorian Truffle wasn't bad either.

I stumbled across a mini bakery shop at Clifton Hill area today, well, as usual I wasn't paying attention of the bakery or anything else, I was just there to hang out with a friend and he wanted to eat something to fill in his belly. Turned out this small thing caught my attention, it's called Bocconcini. I grabbed my phone out, googled it and found out that it's some sort of cheese. I paid for it, and ate it, wow this Bocconcini melted in my mouth, any of you guys pass by this area you should try some of the bakery, the rest of them are not too bad either.

Batman The Dark Knight Rises

Photobucket

After a long hiatus, I've finally managed my time to bring this blog back to life. Too much going on my life recently, I couldn't cope up with all the situation that has been happening on these past months, but yes i am still passionate about writing. Let's start fresh and new.

Batman. Dark superhero that caught my eyes since I was a small boy. I love the outfit, the bat mobile, the plot, the story and most importantly, his enemies. All the villains are respectively awesome, even some of them put Batman into a shadow, take Joker as example, I am sure you remember when Joker took up the attention from people, or Penguin who grabbed all the attention in the past (thanks all to Tim Burton). This time, Bane, with heavy-thick British accent, which I actually love, who takes up the challenge to Bruce Wayne. The plot is amazing, the story couldn't be better and all the all-star actors in it, just purely heaven to my eyes.

All in all, Mr Nolan has brought Batman to amazing trilogy. Well done.

What's Up, World?

I've been away from the hectic routines for awhile now, only to find out about madness happening in the world we are all living. It was too oblivious to think that Katie Holmes would devote her self to Scientology's die-hard fan forever.

People said U.S is still at recession today, but $300 t-shirt were selling like hot cakes and sold out within minutes when one big online retail shop first released them.

Not too mention that Kim Kardashian gave a $750 K lambo to Kanye on his birthday. Man, those dollars might help many people to get their primary needs on the other side of the world.

Awfully shocked, Nike Air Yeezy, designed by Kanye West, retails at $250 but on ebay some are floating around $2000 on average. Damn that hurts me! I want a a pair, but my hard-earned dollars are better spend on another things.

Well, I hardly catch up with the speedy news on show biz these days, perhaps due to lack of interest since Paris Hilton is barely flashing her tattas and busy DJ-ing around the globe.

Good lord. I am still fine and rocking each day with smile. That's enough.

50 Cent and Oprah

No one ever noticed the feud between Miss O and 50 Cent. Perhaps, they didn't really show it up to the public except 50 Cent went viral dissing Oprah on everywhere, including named his dog "Oprah". I watched this video and I've learned so much more about 50 Cent. His credibility on music doesn't just stop there but he is actually a generous person, helping poor children from his mega million business Street King energy drink. And like Oprah, I was actually drawn to his maturity by saying "Pray or Worry, no need for both". Good on ya Fiddy and God bless you!

A long-awaited movie that every Bond's fans looking forward to watch. Here it is. The teaser trailer from Mr 007, I bet this movie is gonna nail it on the head. The Sushi. You've got to try the Sushi. Volcano Rolls. I ordered this sushi rolls with low expectation, filling up my empty stomach as the other dishes come in small plates. Well, turned out the Volcano Rolls became the star of the night, the sauce is just simply amazing, if I was to eat the same meal for the whole week, this would be it. The other main dishes I ordered was chicken skewers and Wagyu Tanderloin Tataki, both were great but not spectacular. You get the idea. Repeat with me, The Sushi is the star of the night.

Spoiler Alert: the price is yikes without any coupon or vouchers.

The Avengers

Photobucket

Joss Whedon accepted the challenge to make this movie. To be honest with you, I was skeptical at the beginning, since I don't like any of the superheroes in the movie, you read it right. I don't like any of them, including the infamous Iron Man. Anyways, I made an early attempt to get the tickets, guess what? the queue was longer than KimK's marriage, like seriously. But I jumped in the queue, 45 minutes later, I got the golden tickets!

Long story short, the movie is fantastic with the little twist (read: jokes) on it. The Hulk is surely more masculine than the first two movies. The plot is just amazing, except we want more appearances from Cobie Smulders. Wheldone!

Weekend Getaway and Happy Easter!

Firstly, Happy Easter to everyone! Last weekend was a blast for me, a great great getaway from my routine. Went to Ocean Grove with a group of friends. Man, how I wish to describe this moment in words, believe me, this is one quite journey. To begin with, I just knew one person of the rest 15 people, just giving you an idea how awkward would that be? you bet! But, I've gotta start get out of my comfort zone to make life more interesting, right? yeah, and i did it and no regrets or whatsoever here. The plan, the games, the people and the rented double-storey house are just amazing, blessed to be there and thank you for welcoming us.

Late lunch isn't an option for me, but for this restaurant? Sure, i don't even mind! I've been craving for this restaurant since last year. No reservation accepted unless for minimum 12 people, always booked up and the worst was, I was told to wait 2 hours to get in and have a table. What a crazy person would do that? Fine, I would, but for Gordon Ramsay's The London. LOL Anyways, as usual, my smarty brain was thinking, what if I go there for late lunch while everyone enjoy shopping and walking around? all set. go. a couple mins later, there I was, sitting in Chin Chin!
And the food? I was blown away. Best fusion Thai food to date.

How's Life Treating Ya?!

I am all good, by the way. Living in a heaven right now. Well, except having a low shit income, life would've been perfect, I know, to get a life like a Kanye West or Mighty Jay-Z is a long journey, but I cherish my life ever. To pinpoint this week headline, yes anti-piracy law going on all over the globe, that's freaking ridiculous! What my life would be without all those pirated movies? do they want me to buy all the dvds that cost $20 per piece? COME ON! i wouldn't mind if I was Lindsay Lohan, bearing all my tatas in front of camera and there you go 1 Milllion dollar... easy money, easy life.

Dear Mr Obama, I know pleasing US citizens is hard but this little favour will help you win next election, I promise. I would text or sms to whatever premium number on from Down Under, okay, I lied, I wouldn't. But please! remove all that anti-piracy law and focus on capturing the next bad guy.

A New Chapter

Year 2011. My life was on roller-coast ride last year, an emotional-wrecking journey, I must say. I've got my best holiday moment to places I always wanted to go, went down begging for a job, scored a joy long afterwards and finishing twenty eleven with fireworks punching the sky out of harbour with me sitting on the deck wishing everyone a very fucking best new year ahead. I, though, admit last year was one heck of story in my life that I will cherish forever, and of course 2012 will be much greater for me, for everyone, like Johnny Drama will say "VICTORY!!".

So, my friends, raise your head and let's start twenty twelve with roar!
