Rock Bar At Ayana Bali Review
Went to this so-called amazing bar last week. I kept my hopes up since this is Bali, the island of paradise, I went with a couple of friends to enjoy the sunset. Got there, the queue was so long, but that's fine, I was prepared for the worst though. Made there after 2 hours of queuing, was I annoyed? nah, not really. Served, got a table and started taking pictures since the view is amazing (typical asians, I know), ordered. What did I order? Orange juice. BUTT guess what? it wasn't real orange. wasn't real fruits, looks like they bought some boxed ready orange juice, pour it and served it for fcking expensive bucks.
Not to mention the desserts my friend ordered - chocolate mousse something, it was like a 10cm chocolate stick filled with mousse, decorated with some stupid rock stones (seriously) and berry jams. Fail.
The staff? we asked for a small spoon for friends to share, but got this speech from the staff explaining how to eat the desserts, bla bla bla. Ok, I got a master degree and I KNOW how to eat this crap, girl. YET, we needed to ask them three times before we actually got the freaking spoon. GEEZ, luxury bar with some shit attitude from the staff. I guess the management need to fire them all.
To sum up, the view is amazing but the rest is just a piece of crap.
Rating: DON'T EVER GO THERE

Escape Plan
I was always a head of everyone else in term of watching movies. From box office the great Batman to shit like the sequel of Percy Jackson, I always had time to watch movies once a week. But, it doesn't happen these days - I know, other priorities take place. Anyways, this movie I saw last weekend, Escape Plan. Sly Stallone and Arnie Schwarzenegger, you know the deal. Two grandpas living in Hollywood hills trying to print box office money by recreating rambo/terminator/action hero and selling under their big names. Okay I see expendables prequel there.
Plot was okay, writing was okay, but the escape plan wasn't so impressive neither.

Employee of The Month
50 years old. Working with integrity and pride. A champion. This man's picture should have been framed in every sport station stores across the country - hell yea I mean it. He just brought Indonesia to be a champion in U-19 AFF 2013 tournament recently, and yet people still don't give him a proper acknowledgement, plus he deserves a long time contract with decent pay. To everyone's surprise, he told media, he once wasn't even paid for almost 7 months under contract. Where's the law? I guess law doesn't exist in third-world countries, hey. Well, I still am going to give my highest salute to this man. Job well done, Indra Sjafri.

A Piece Of Note To Self
People are often wondering what does it mean?
Does it mean something for us?
People sometimes take everything for granted
Some just go along with the situation
He speaks up.
Because wise men say sacrifice for the someone else's good fate
All the doubts become cloudier
He has never known this. All his life.
Is it wrong?
Every breath is just another day
The girl would love him for another thousand years
A perfect match doesn't elapse
They bound. Together. Further.
And what does it mean for us?
Does it mean something for us?
People sometimes take everything for granted
Some just go along with the situation
He speaks up.
Because wise men say sacrifice for the someone else's good fate
All the doubts become cloudier
He has never known this. All his life.

They bound. Together. Further.
And what does it mean for us?

Professionalism
If I'd die for one thing, it has to be professionalism. I am just kidding! what a retard would ever say that? lol okay, here I share you the most glorious story... One day I was out of town to catch a movie overseas (Asian country) - well it was recently. The movie was The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by sharply Lily Collins, yes that with thiiiick eyebrows, well the movie was okay but till the very last end the audio was messing up (the cinema's fault), waited and waited for half an hour, finally they decided we couldn't continue to watch the movie (I was still motivated to finish the movie without audio since it pretty much had 10 mins left) but well they stopped the movie and guess what? We scored a refund from management! 1.5 hours free movie and a full refund? not a typically popular in Asian country but that was heaven!
Good job on the management, may God bless you with prosperity for the ongoing and future!
PS. hello everyone!

Kanye West New Album - Yeezus
credit: hypebeast |
Anyhoo, the album is a freaking futuristic Daft Punk kind of thing mixed with old soul touch, I was hoping to hear some brilliant tune like on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy but hey, this still isn't a bad one. If you are a die-hard fans, this album is worth it, but if you aren't, you know where to go.
PS. the lyrics are still at highest level

Attica. That Attica.
Buzzing around Melbourne city trying to find THE perfect place to eat, where at? Critics will be pointing out to Attica. Recently ranked as 21st best restaurant in the world. Wow! Don't expect fancy things will come out from the kitchen but rather imagine how nature will take you back to stone age, but of course with a little bit touch of modern cuisine. Fusion if you may call it. New Zealander head chef will serve some complimentary entree in the house - the Mussel was flawless - melted in your mouth. I took up a 8 course - 6 mains and 2 desserts. Only 2 dishes made my day. Worth a try, for sure.
Next stop? might be Noma. :)

Chinese Baby Found inside Sewage Pipe!
source: dailymail
This story saddens me the most, I literally had to shed my tears reading this horrific situation. A Chinese baby was flushed away into toilet by the parents and luckily he was found alive! Praise the Lord for this, I am sure this baby will be the miraculous statement years to come. How can you do something disgusting like this? Morons.
The baby boy is currently at the stable condition.

Star Trek: Into Darkness
I was excited seeing the first trailer came up on the screen when this movie was first announced. As I unexpectedly enjoyed watching the first one. Went to the cinema last night with a bunch of people, and from the start to the very end of it, J.J Abrams delivers the best adrenalin rush throughout his masterpiece! I mean if people go for the overrated Iron Man 3 for movie of the month - I'll go with this one. Even I am a lil bit biased since I grew up with Star Trek but seriously, Captain Kirk and Spock never disappoints!

Spartacus Ends
From a brilliant start to gracious ending, that is Spartacus. This show receives love/hate mix reviews, but I quite enjoy it actually. The first season was a total home-run with Lucy Lawless, Andy Whitfield and the beautiful Viva Bianca starring it in. The story about gladiators who are making their way to freedom by fighting each other, if you like roman-esque history and shit, this one for ya. After that, season 2 was a meltdown, Andy Whitfield wasn't able to continue but then the last season seals it with the fall of mighty Spartacus - which in my opinion, the sudden surprise yet awesome, considering happy ending is a must in film industry - don't start with Django (yes I absolutely hate the ending!) - please Tarantino! ok, what do I know about directing again? LOL. Anyways, this Spartacus is a yes yes to cuddle with.

Marilyn Manson for Saint Laurent Paris
If there was one man who would shock the world of fashion, it's gotta be Hedi Slimane. His reign at Dior Homme was fcking delicious and now at Saint Laurent Paris? People are lusting over his creations. Those punk-rock inspired clothing are beating at the highest level of show. This time he brought Marilyn Manson, the god of metal, to model for SLP's ad campaign, how cool is that? only Slimane does it. There are a series to the extend of the ad campaign, with Courtney Love and Lindsay Lohan among the famous list.

Mirrors - Justin Timberlake
If there was only one man crush I would fall for, this one is the man. Literally.. His Future/Love concert back in the day was my very first concert experience. Now, he's back with that smooth jiggle. I wasn't really impressed with Suit & Tie but this one brings the trophy home! Forget My Love, What Goes Around Comes Around, Sexy Back, this time is Mirrors! look at the video he released today... Puurrrfection!

Luxurism On High
When you have too much money on your pocket, high end pieces are one click away from your laptop. I remember when I saw a Givenchy Rottweiler t-shirts and jackets were hype all over the internet, people still didn't know what was it back then, then come commercialism of Tisci from Kanye West, Rihanna and all the American rappers spotted wearing those Givenchy pieces, the rest are history. The second batch were Shark, sold for around $250, the frenzy had begun. All people on the streets are rocking these treasures to show that they are keeping with trend. And how much is it now? too much probably... one tees is selling as high as $700 fucking dollar and yet, people are still buying!
Unbelievable world, but it's nice to see people afford them like peanuts, means world is getting better financially right?oh well, be the judge!

Ananda Bar & Restaurant
Alrighty, here we go again.... Been a long time since I posted an entry last time. Well, it was a loooooonnng holiday and I finally am back in Australia. First thing to do? Let's have some fun trying a new restaurant I never visited before. It was Ananda Bar & Restaurant, the theme is Spanish cuisine - sort of fusion if I may call. We ordered some tapas - Rabbit empanadilla, House Morcilla, and some more I can't remember the name of. For the main, we ordered Slow roasted beef cheeks, pork belly, organic lamb cooked in milk. The ambiance was nice, the seating was good, the staff was friendly, the food? I'd give 5 out of 10 and won't come back again, thank you. Why? the rabbit empanadilla was so-so, house morcilla was good but not good enough, the slow roasted cheeks was kind of bluff of Indian food, and pork belly was a standard dead-on, the lamb? Indonesian food wanna-be. End of story and sorry for the bash - the truth is painful sometimes.
